AMD VS Nvidia - RX 480 VS GTX 1060 - Benchmarks from Lowest to Ultra Settings
When comparing Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor we found that the performance differences between AMD's RX 480 and Nvidia's GTX 1060 6GB to be almost negligible in most cases.
Both GPUs performed similarly at all graphical settings with only a minimal difference of 2 or so frames per second on average.
Overall at the game's higher graphical settings Nvidia seems to have the advantage here, though it is fairly minimal. Sadly we have no RX Vega GPUs to compare here, so it is hard to know if Vega changes the situation.
From what we can see here the choice between Green and Red makes very little difference in Middle Earth, which is good news for consumers.

It is good to see though that this is not another crappy black boxed Nvidia TWIMTBP title. Having agnostic results and being GPU limited is how it should be.
Nice review and thanks for taking the time. Since the DRM slowed you down a bit.Quote
In regards to Vega, apparently it performs far better than Nvidia. A 64 is far ahead if the 1080 and the 56 is slightly above it. At least according to a different review.

Not sure if that one game equates to GPU competition or the VEGA performing "FAR BETTER THAN NVIDIA".Quote
