Packaging

To say the least the DOKO is very well packaged, the DOKO unit is surrounded by a soft foam, and will be contained inside a very rigid cardboard box and sleeve. This unit will be able to survive pretty much anything during postage, except maybe fire.

Accessories

inside the package is the DOKO itself, an 2m CAT-5e cable, a quickstart manual and a US power plug. We do not know is European units will have an EU power plug, but I doubt a UK power plug can fit inside the box.

The DOKO unit

the DOKO is a rather small device, measuring in around 120x100x30mm. On the front of the unit there is 4 USB 2.0 ports which can be used to connect input or storage devices too the DOKO, there is also a power button and LED.

Moving to the rear of the unit we find the power input for the included power adapter, a CAT-5e (ethernet connection) to connect the unit to you network, and HDMI output to connect the unit to a TV or monitor and a 3.5mm audio output to connect the unit to a different audio device (if your are not using your TV or monitor's built-in speakers).

Brilliant! Been looking for a streamer mainly for films as our TV is a PITA with USB formats, for example it only reads AVI's with MP3 audio. This looks awesome and kudos for reviewing it and clearing stuffs up coz NZXT have this on their website as a bloody fan controller!?!...

Hahaha, I will be looking into a cheap setup for steam in-home streaming over the next while.

It may be more worth your while looking into that, but I won't know for sure until I can start testing. Quote

I was looking at getting one of those Cyclone Mini jobs just for watching stuff direct off USB drive, but with this the streaming bit just tickles my fancy that bit more.Quote
