For those of us not covered by the previous page, the raw transfer rates in megabytes per second is a more useful test. As always we cover a variety of block sizes. Manufacturers nearly always quote contiguous sequential speeds because they are the highest, but your operating system handles loads of tiny files all the time so smaller block size performance is useful in determining how the overall performance of the drive with affect your systems responsiveness.
