Kingston Technology HyperX Savage 128 GB USB 3.1 Gen1 Review

ATTO

In ATTO we can really see how well the HyperX Savage Memory stick performs when compared to it's peers, offering performance which is right in between the SSDs and other memory sticks in reads and great write performance.

In 128K and 1024K reads the HyperX Savage drive performs over 2x faster than the Datatraveler 100 USB 3.1 drive and in those writes it performs almost 10x better than the DataTraveler, more than justifying it's additional cost.

Crystal Disk Mark

In Crystal Disk Mark we can see can see in sequential read performance the Kingston HyperX Savage can put even some of the SSDs on this graph to shame and in sequential writes it can beat the cheaper Kingston DataTraveler by over a full order of magnitude.

Here we can see that the HyperX Savage is a truly great USB memory stick, offering super fast file transfers when compared to other USB drives and can even be fast enough to beat the speeds of some older SSDs.
