Unigine: Heaven
Unigine's Heaven benchmark is a favourite for anyone wanting to test their graphics solution. Its benchmark has always been used to give a great comparison to different systems, and also its loop mode has always proved helpful as a stressing tool to test graphics card overclocks.
Our system here gets very a reasonable FPS on the Unigine tests here. Despite all the other systems having a better performing processor, it's good to see that isn't effecting any results here.

Keep telling him to join these forums and look at some of the smaller builds.
Edit: Okay there is something not right if my rig is only doing 20fps with Arkham Origins!Quote
My steam box/LAN box was going to be an itx system for around the same price and its amazing how much more expensive the ITX AMD motherboards are. I had to really scale down the graphics (to a 650ti) and get a tiny SSD in order to stay in budget. All the good motherboards cost more than the cpu :l. Thats the issue with cheap OCable cpus I guess :s. In the end I also had to settle with this as a build. It was an easy sell though
![]() Interesting how surprisingly good the pentiums are at gaming. I really was expecting it to struggle alot more than it did. I wouldn't want a pentium for games like Star Citizen though. |
Going to be building a rig something like what you have there.. Just want to ask though how well does it overclock? I know lottery and all that, just is there much to be gained in performance?
Also I just love philips site. Its awesome for getting, thecheapest kit out thereQuote

Excellent little chip though, got more grunt then a 4300 (in my experience) and has better single core performance then other AMD chips, especially Bulldozer.Quote
I just left mine at stock as it has a chance to get quite warm quite easily. The CPU cooler isn't designed for OCing so that was a limiting factor. TBH the cooler was more than adequate, its just a better bet to get something like a hyper 212/seidon120v if you want to get some high OCs in.
