MSI GE62VR Apache Pro Gaming Laptop Review
The GE62VR Apache Pro comes in a very attractive box that contains all the stuff you need to get up and running quickly. The charger has a very long cable - something which will prove useful as we'll discuss later - and the quick start guide covers the basics.
The chassis is MSIs usual blend of brushed aluminium and well laid out ports. Speaking of ports on the left hand side from front to back we have headphone jacks, USB 3.1 Type C, USB 3, mini DisplayPort, HDMI, USB 3 and the LAN port. Splitting the two USB ports is very handy if your USB stick is one of the awkwardly shaped large ones. Around the right hand side we have the BluRay writer, a USB 2.0 port, card reader and the power input. There is, curiously, nothing around the back beyond the fan exhausts.
With only a 15" display the Apache Pro is both compact and very light. Indeed it's so light that the display flexes slightly more than we're comfortable with. However that isn't to say that it's flimsy, just that any time you aim towards lightness there is always a rigidity price to pay.
