With a B550 motherboard - the ASUS Prime Plus - there are no front panel USB Type-C ports so the lack of one on the case isn't a big problem. You do get front panel audio, three USB panels, LED toggle and the ubiquitous power and reset switches. Although my case at home hasn't got a reset for some reason, so it's nice to see one here.

With one Type-C and a host of Type-A USB options there is plenty to plug your peripherals into. Even if you're in to streaming a HOTAS and TrackIR based game using a Stream Deck, you'll still have lots of sockets.

At the bottom we have the normal outputs of a modern Nvidia GPU, with an HDMI 8K60 and three DisplayPorts. The ASUS Prime hasn't got native WiFi so the inclusion of a PCI Express card will be a boon to those of you who prefer to live your life cable free.

With three RGB fans at the front and some lighting on the case itself it's an attractive option for those of you who like a little flair.

The two AIO fans, three intake fans and pump head are all RGB and it really makes the PCS Quartz Elite R look like a high end system despite its low price point. Very nice indeed.
