Video Encoding

Further evidence of the solidity of the Zen 2 architecture is in the form of the video encoders themselves. We often get asked why we test both X.265 and H.265 when they're both similar in process, but we think this is a great demonstration of exactly why our benchmark suite tries to cover all bases. The X265 naturally prefers the beefier core count of the ROG setup but when you move to H.265 the gap narrows considerably.

Nice rig. Just a shame that we now use the word budget when we are talking about a £1200 PC. Only 3/4 years ago £600 was a good budget for a gaming rig to keep you going a couple of years, and 1200 would get you a really high end rig, not anymore it seemsQuote
