The Ares comes extremely well packaged. The case is in its own box, which ensures a tight fit. Even then it's surrounded by foam wotsits. One of the cool elements is something we've been seeing a lot of lately, and that's the expanding foam which fills the internals. So often the problem with buying a system online was the amount of air inside the case that allowed the components to move around during transit. The foam fills all those gaps regardless of component choice and we want to shake whomever invented it warmly by the hand.

Included in the box is all of the driver discs and manuals necessary to keep you up and running, although the whopping six year warranty should alleviate any worries in that regard.

The Fractal R5 is the perfect case for the Ares. It's one of our favourite cases ever, with plenty of features, customisation and airflow. Other cases might have more bling, but realistically you're looking at your screen rather than your case and at this price your money is far better spent on components than a fancy light show.

The build quality from UK Gaming Computers is very good too, with all the cables neatly tucked away and the fan on the right side of the Cooler Master cooler. Yes it might seem obvious, but you'll be surprised how many people don't pay attention to such details.

We've often spoken to people about the benefits of mounting their PSU the right way up so it's good to see UKGC putting it how it should be. It's particularly wise considering the need to keep your power supply well ventilated and the small feet on the Fractal R5 case. They (UKGC) don't know if the end user will be putting it on a desk or carpet, so why create problems when you can solve them with foresight. Attention to detail.

Given the low pricing of the Ares it's great to see such a beefy GPU installed. It might be tempting to have gone with a generic GTX970 - after all nVidia cards are great in every variant - but the Strix is particularly great and graphics is one area when you attain the maximum reward from any extra spending.

Pretty damn impressive!
Makes me feel sad that in Greece NO COMPANY offers pre-build systems with such high quality components. FX-8320s on cheapy ass motherboards, 700W cheapo OEM psus and some low end gpu and they get a 800Euro price tag.Quote

I'm not overly impressed with the component choice but I must say the warranty is very nice.Quote

Sweet jebus! A quality built system and a 6 year warranty , I've always shied away from pre built systems but I have to admit they're getting better, it's a great option if your wanting a tight system right out the box. Honestly though I much prefer getting more hands on and making her live myself.. it's almost spiritual.Quote
