Capcom details major Dragon’s Dogma 2 update
A major Dragon’s Dogma 2 update is coming later this month
Capcom have announced that they plan to release a major update for Dragon’s Dogma 2 later this month on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. Sadly, this update does not appear to feature any performance improvements. That said, there are a lot of quality of life updates for players.
One of the headline features of this new update is changes to the game’s Dragonsplague mechanic. This months update will reduce infection frequency and make it more obvious when Pawns are infected. Changes to the game’s mini map are also being implemented.
With this new update, Dragon’s Dogma 2 can expect the game to crash and freeze less then before. A range of “miscellaneous bug fixes” have also been promised. Full release notes for Dragon’s Dogma 2’s next patch are available on the Twitter/X post below.

Honestly, it is disappointing that this new patch is seemingly doing nothing to boost the PC performance of Dragon’s Dogma 2. As we have reported before, Dragon’s Dogma 2’s PC version is a mess. The game would benefit greatly from additional CPU optimisations. Features like DLSS and FSR Frame Generation would also be welcome.
