Ark: Survival Evolved – PC vs. Xbox One Graphics Comparison

Ark Survival Evolved has recently been released on the Xbox one via the consoles Game Preview Program by Studio Wildcard.  The YouTube Channel Candyland has now shared a video comparing the PC version and the Xbox One version, showing very large differences in the graphical quality of each version.

One thing to note here is that both versions of the game are in some form of Early Access, meaning that the game will require a lot of updating in the future, so the current level of graphical quality is by no means final for either platform.

Looking at the Xbox One version and the PC version we can see that the Xbox One has a significantly lower level of detail, texture quality, and the Xbox One version looks a lot blurrier.

Some area’s in the Xbox one version will be look very different than the PC version, lacking a lot of objects/ detail on the ground and the PC version has much better quality shadows.

The game is on early access on both the PC and the Xbox One, so a lot of work is still required for each game before it officially launches, which includes graphical optimization and adding DirectX 12 support on the PC version.
