Windows 10 is now more popular on Steam than every other OS combined, with over 50% market share when counting both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions of the OS. 
 
Right now Windows 10 64-bit is used by 49.10% of Steam users with the 32-bit version being used by 1.25% of users. In total Windows is used by 95.6% of Steam users, with the remainder using Linux or OSX.

When looking at Windows-based systems 42.72% of Windows users on Steam have a DirectX 12 ready system, using a Windows 10 OS and a DirectX 12 ready GPU. A further 30.71% of users have a DirectX 12 ready GPU and a Pre-Windows 10 OS like Windows 7, Windows 8.1/8 and Windows Vista. 

It is expected that within the next two-three months that Windows 10 64-bit will be adopted by over 50% of Steam users, which is a huge achievement for any modern OS.
