New Sonic The Hedgehog Trailer Showcases Sonic’s Redesign – It’s Much Better

In response to the fan backlash against the trailer, Jeff Fowler, the film’s director promised to redesign the character, stating that “Everyone at Paramount & Sega are fully committed to making this character the BEST he can be”. Now, we can finally see this redesigned Sonic in action, and I’m happy to confirm that things have been greatly improved. 

Now, Sonic no longer features an elongated, human-like appearance. Now, Sonic’s gloves are back on and the Hedgehog now has his classic videogame appearance, complete with the correct proportions and colouring. No more creepy furry hands, too-human proportions or eyes that look nothing like the Sonic we all know and love. The delay of the Sonic The Hedgehog movie has been worth it. 

Sonic the Hedgehog is now due to release in Cinemas on February 14th, at least in the US.
