ASUS launches new Dual-fan Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPU
ASUS releases two new Radeon RX 7900 XTX GPUs as other manufacturers scale back
New Radeon RX 7900 XTX graphics cards from ASUS are starting to appear at retailers, Dual-fan models that appear to make up the new lower-end of ASUS’ RX 7900 XTX range.
This new GPU reveal comes as a stark contrast to what’s happening over at MSI. While ASUS produce new Radeon GPUs, MSI are abandoning AMD’s Radeon RX 7000 series. MSI have shifted their focus onto Nvidia’s RTX range, but ASUS have invested in new Radeon GPU models.
ASUS’ new RX 7900 XTX Dual graphics card looks like all other Dual series graphics cards from the company. Design-wise, this GPU isn’t revolutionary. The graphics card will be available in the form of OC and Non-OC models, with the OC variant clocking in with a 2455 MHz “Game Clock”, and a 2615 “Boost Clock”. That game clock speed is 155 MHz higher than AMD’s reference RX 7900 XTX.
These new Dual GPU models from ASUS both measure in at 322 x 147 x 5 mm and are 2.95 slots thick. Both GPU models feature three DisplayPort 2.1 inputs and a single HDMI 2.1 connection.
It is currently unknown why ASUS have released a new RX 7900 XTX GPU model so late in RDNA 3’s life cycle. This model should be cheaper to produce than their 3-fan TUF variants, which could potentially allow ASUS to target more aggressive pricing with this new GPU model.
