World War Z: Aftermath is currently free on the Epic Games Store

PC gamers can grab a great multiplayer freebie on the Epic Games Store

Epic Games has confirmed that they will be giving away free games throughout 2025. This week, World War Z: Aftermath and Garden Story are available for free on the Epic Games Store, two very different games for different audiences.

World War Z: Aftermath is co-op Zombie shooter that takes players on a journey across the world, sharing the journeys of survivors of a zombie apocalypse. The game launched as a 3rd-person shooter, but the game’s Aftermath update added new content, a first-person mode, and a new “Horde mode XL” game mode.

World War Z is a great game to play in co-op with friends. Up to four players can play together, and now is a great time for you and your friends to pick up this game. Remember, the game’s free right now, and will be until 3.59 PM (GMT) on February 27th.

This week, Garden Story is also available for free on the Epic Games Store. This game is an indie RPG that’s similar to Stardew Valley. Players become the “Guardian of the Grove” and must work to “unify a broken community.”

PC gamers can grab both of these free games on the Epic Games Store. Next week’s free game will be Mages of Mystralia.
