The Nioh 3 demo is available as of today, January 29, 2026.

This demo allows players to experience the opening stages of the game from the very beginning. Online multiplayer for up to three players is supported, and save data can be carried over to the full game.

Players who complete the demo will receive the unique in-game bonus item the Twin-Snake Helmet for use in the full game. To receive this completion bonus, the demo must be completed by February 15, 2026.

Be sure to take this opportunity to play the demo!

Steam Demo Announcement

So far, player impressions for the game are mostly positive. NIOH 3 reportedly stutters less than its predecessors. However, some players have reported camera panning issues at unlocked framerates. Furthermore, the game is capped to 120 FPS. That said, with frame generation (4x), players can run this game at up to 480 FPS.

Nvidia’s Jacob Freemand has confirmed that both DLSS and Multi-Frame Generation are supported in NIOH 3. Furthermore, DLSS 4.5 is available through DLSS overrides.

If you are interested in NIOH 3, you should try this free trial version. It will let you see how the game runs on your system, and let you se if the game is for you.
