Lords of the Fallen 2 Breaks Free of Epic Games Store exclusivity

Lords of the Fallen 2 is going to be self-published

CI Games has announced that its upcoming Soulslike game, Lords of the Fallen 2, will no longer be published by Epic Games. CI Games has finalised a “separation agreement” with Epic Games, moving Lords of the Fallen 2 to a self-publishing model.

When Lords of the Fallen 2 (LOTF2) was first unveiled in 2024, fans were disappointed that the game was announced as an Epic Games Store exclusive on PC. Now, it looks like the game has broken free of its exclusivity on the Epic Games Store. This will allowing the game to come to Steam and other PC gaming storefronts. We expect the game to be listed on Steam soon.

LOTF2 is a souls-like game where players journey across a war-torn kingdom that is crumbling from within. The realms of the living and the dead are bleeding into one, turning the world into a brutal place. Combat is fast-paced and includes magic, swords, and a variety of ranged weapons. Each fight should be a test of skill, and players can finish enemies with brutal executions.

The Management Board of Cl Games SE with its registered office in Warsaw (the “ Company “) hereby announces that on April 14, 2026 the Company entered into a Separation Agreement (the “ Agreement ”) with Epic Games, Inc. (“ Epic ”) that releases the Company from its obligations as provided in the Binding Publishing Term Sheet concluded by the Company and Epic on June 14, 2024 (the “ Term Sheet “).

The conclusion of the Agreement by the Company and Epic will not affect the ongoing cooperation between the parties in relation to the Unreal Engine, Epic online services, Epic account services, or the Company’s participation in the Fortnite ecosystem, and each of these relationships will continue and remain governed by their respective separate agreements.

LOTF 2 is currently listed as “Coming Soon” on the Epic Games Store. This suggests that the game will be released this year. If the game is coming to Steam, we expect this announcement to be made alongside the game’s release date.
