Helldivers 2 Update Fixes DLSS, FSR, and XeSS upscaling on PC

DLSS, FSR, and XeSS now look good thanks to Helldivers 2’s newest hotfix

Following the release of Helldivers 2’s “Optimising Liberty” update, fans were disappointed by the image quality delivered by the game’s modern PC upscaling solutions. Simply put, DLSS, FSR, and XeSS did not look great on Helldivers 2’s PC version. Thankfully, Nixxes and Arrowhead have released an update to address these image quality issues.

With these updates, PC gamers are now reporting better visuals when using modern PC upscalers. Many gamers are even reporting that upscalers like DLSS and FSR 4 deliver image quality better than the game’s native-resolution TAA. That’s great news for all PC gamers, as this means that modern upscalers can deliver both higher levels of image quality and higher framerates.

Patch Highlights

  • Improved image quality when using NVIDIA DLSS, AMD FSR or Intel XeSS upscaling.

Fixes

  • Fixed crashes related to Intel XeSS upscaling

  • Dynamic Resolution Scaling is now turned off by default

    • We’ve seen your reports on Dynamic Resolution Scaling causing graphical issues on some graphics cards. While working on a proper fix, we’ve disabled DRS by default on PC. You can still manually enable DRS if desired

Right now, Dynamic Resolution Scaling has been turned off by default on PC. This is due to the graphical issues that have been reported by some players. Nixxes and Arrowhead are working on a proper fix for this issue. This fix will arrive with a future game update.
