AMD has unveiled its Radeon RX 9050, the GPU that isn’t coming to Europe and North America
AMD has officially unveiled its Radeon RX 9050 graphics card, a new low-end RDNA 4 GPU for low-end/low-power PCs. The GPU is intended to play games at 1080p medium/high settings, placing it under its RX 9060.
The RX 9050 features 8GB of GDDR6 memory, though an OEM-exclusive 4GB model will be available to specific customers. The GPU will be available within the APJ (Asia Pacific and Japan) and Latin American markets. This means the GPU will not be available in Europe or North America. WCCFTECH’s Hassan Mujtaba claims that this GPU has a $279 MSRP.
Hardware-wise, this GPU features 16 RDNA 4 compute units. This gives this GPU 1024 stream processors, 16 ray tracing accelerators and 32 AI accelerators. The GPU also has base/boost clock speeds of 1,920/2,600 MHz, giving it 10.6 TFLOPS of FP32 compute. The GPU has 8GB of 18 Gbps GDDR6 memory over a 128-bit memory bus. This GPU is, essentially, a Radeon RX 9060 XT with half as many compute units, making it a low-end GPU.

On its website, AMD gave gamers the following performance numbers for its RX 9050 GPU at 1080p medium settings. The game runs 007 First Light at 60 FPS, Counter-Strike 2 at 227 FPS, Cyberpunk 2077 at 96 FPS, Forza Horizon 6 at 131 FPS, and Pragmata at 85 FPS. At high settings, AMD claims this GPU can run Valotant at 593 FPS. Not bad for such a low-end GPU.
