Noctua launches official PETG 3D printer filament for PC use

Noctua and Prusa expand their 3D printer filament offerings with official Noctua-coloured PETG

Following last year’s release of official Noctua-coloured PLA, Prusa Research and Noctua have expanded their Noctua Prusament offerings to include PETG. With its increased toughness and temperature resistance, PETG is a superior 3D printing material for PC-focused use. That’s right, this is the perfect 3D printing material for a custom “Noctua Edition” PC case or GPU fan shroud.

While PLA is undoubtedly the easiest 3D printing filament to work with, it isn’t ideal for all use cases. By expanding into PETG, Noctua and Prusa are offering their customers filaments that can withstand higher structural loads and operate in hotter environments (above 50 degrees). Like Noctua’s PLA, Prusa’s new Prusament PETG blends are colour matched to Noctua’s products. This makes these filaments the perfect beige/brown tones to match Noctua’s fans.

Noctua is a strong supporter of the 3D printing community. On Printables, Noctua has released official 3D printable parts for its products. Earlier this year, Noctua also released 3D CAD models for its fans, making it easier for 3D modellers to create detailed PC renders and models. It’s almost as if Noctua wants its fanbase to create Noctua-themed PC builds using its colour scheme…

At £29.99/€32.99/$32.99, these official Noctua filaments are expensive. That said, Prusament is a premium filament brand, and if you want Noctua colours, these filaments will provide an excellent colour match.
