Nvidia makes RTX 50 MSRP pricing an event-only spectacle

Nvidia will soon give gamers a rare opportunity to purchase RTX 50 Founders Edition series GPUs at Nvidia’s MSRP. This includes Nvidia’s RTX 5090 Founders Edition. Note that this GPU’s price has been inflated to an insane degree this year. Currently, the cheapest RTX 5090 in the UK costs well over £3,000. The GPU’s MSRP is £1,799.

Nvidia has always sold its Founders Edition GPUs at MSRP. Now, Nvidia has effectively turned MSRP pricing into an event-only price. Only a lucky few will be able to purchase an RTX 50 series GPU at Nvidia’s MSRP this weekend. These prices will only be available while stocks last.

The fact that this is newsworthy should highlight how far Nvidia’s MSRP pricing for its RTX 50 series GPUs is from market reality. As mentioned before, Nvidia’s retail RTX 5090 GPUs are selling for over £1,200 more than Nvidia’s MSRP in the UK.
