Cooler Master ships its 12V-2×6 “GPU Shield” in China with a 3-year no melt warranty
Cooler Master ships its “GPU Shield” 12v-2×6 adapter in China for £40/$54
Cooler Master’s “GPU Guard” add-on for 12V-2×6 powered graphics cards is now available in China, giving users monitoring and protection features for their GPU power cables. We saw this GPU Shield in action at Computex 2026 at the Cooler Master booth.
The tool can detect current imbalances on 12V-2×6 power connectors. When anomalous behaviour is detected, the device starts a warning buzzer, prompting users to stop what they are doing, and will shut down a user’s system. Once this happens, users can check their 12V-2×6 cables, reseat them, or replace them (if necessary). This add-on is an in-line device that sits between your GPU and PSU. This makes this device compatible with all 12V-2×6/12VHPWR PSUs.

In China, this add-on ships for 359 RMB, which converts to roughly £40 or $54 US. The device has a 3-year warranty, and Cooler Master promises full compensation if a user’s graphics card melts. It is currently unknown if this product’s warranty will be this generous in other markets.

It is currently unknown when this add-on will become available outside of China. Given its add-on nature, it supports PSUs from all brands, making it a simple upgrade for high-end GPU users. No PSU upgrade necessary. That said, PC builders that love good cable management may find it hard to hide this cable’s protection unit. That said, the promise of GPU protection will be worth the effort to many PC users.
