Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War IV has been delayed

King Art has delayed Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV

Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War IV has been delayed. RTS fans will have to wait a little longer before they can take command of some of the Warhammer 40K franchise’s most iconic factions.

Instead of September 17th, the game is now due to launch on December 3rd. This delay will give King Art more time to fix bugs, improve performance, polish the game, and respond to more fan feedback.

With this update comes a new 1-year roadmap, which is altered to reflect Dawn of War IV’s new release date. Gamers can expect to see more battle reports, gameplay videos, and deep dives as the game gets closer to launch.

– Dawn of War IV

Dawn of War IV will have a lot of content

Dawn of War IV is a large-scale Warhammer game with four playable factions, a 70+ mission-long epic campaign, online PVP, co-op, and a replayable last stand mode. Note that the game’s story may have implications for the wider Warhammer 40K setting, as it includes major characters like Lion El’Jonson, Primarch of the Dark Angels.

At launch, gamers will be able to play as Space Marines, the Adeptus Mechanicus, the Orks, and Necrons. In Spring 2027, the game will receive new content with its “Blood Ravens Story Prologue”. Additionally, a campaign expansion called “Aftermath” will arrive in Summer 2027. This expansion will include a new playable faction.
