Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2 receives new trailer and premiere date

Cyberpunk 2077 now has a new trailer and a release date

CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger released a new trailer for Cyberpunk Edgerunners 2, confirming the series will stream exclusively on Netflix on October 20th. That’s right, Cyberpunk fans now need to wait less than two months for the series to be released.

Edgerunners 2 will be a standalone story. The series will not continue the story of Netflix’s original Edgerunners and will feature a new cast of characters thrown into the darkest corners of Night City. Based on the series’ teaser, we can expect to see a lot of cyberpsychosis, positioning it as a major theme. Note that it is currently unknown where this series sits in the Cyberpunk 2077 timeline.

Kai Ikarashi is directing the new series. He was behind episode 6 of the original series. Note that episode is often cited as the best in the series. Kai Ikarashi’s role in the second series has Edgerunners fans hyped.

CD Projekt Red has confirmed that Edgerunners 2 will be a 10-episode series. The series will follow several characters whose stories intertwine. The series tells a “raw, human story of revenge and redemption”. Fans can get a glimpse of this in today’s new trailer. Sadly, it is unclear whether the series will release weekly or all at once.
