Nvidia to host new “GeForce On” event at Gamescom
Nvidia plans to showcase the latest RTX games and features at Gamescom 2026
Nvidia has announced plans to host a “GeForce On Community Update” at Gamescom 2026, focusing on the “latest RTX games and features”. This event will be held on August 25th at 8 AM PT (4 PM BST). That means that we shouldn’t expect to see new GeForce graphics cards or other Nvidia products at the event. Gamescom will not host the surprise launch of Nvidia’s RTX 50 SUPER series.
We do expect to see a showcase of new/upcoming games with DLSS and ray tracing support. Additionally, we also expect updates on Nvidia’s newest gaming technology. This will likely include the launch of Nvidia’s DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction technology. Nvidia may also deliver updates on DLSS 5 and Nvidia Reflex 2.

If Nvidia showcases any hardware at this event, it will be its upcoming RTX Spark laptops. Nvidia may be keen to showcase the gaming prowess of its ARM-based Windows laptops. That said, these machines will likely target productivity users rather than gamers, at least initially. With that in mind, focusing on it at Gamescom could be counterproductive.
If nothing else, gamers can expect to see new games running on Nvidia’s RTX technologies. That means DLSS and ray tracing. We may see new RTX/DLSS features, and updates on already announced technologies. Just don’t expect to see new GPUs; that’s simply not happening.
