007 First Light now has a “Free Starter Pack”

Gamers can now try 007 First Light before they buy it

IO Interactive has released a “Free Starter Pack” for 007 First Light, letting gamers play the game’s opening mission for free. The starter pack lets players play as James Bond, a young naval air crewman who must survive a military operation gone wrong in Iceland.

This free starter pack is available now on PC (Steam) and Xbox, and will come to PlayStation players on November 10th. For now, PlayStation Plus Premium Subscribers can play a 1-hour time trial.

007 First Light’s free starter pack lets gamers jump in without buying the game, serving as a free demo of the full game. Saves from the demo can be transferred to the full game, and until November 9th, 007 First Light offers up to 40% off the full game. The same discount is available on Xbox Series X/S until November 15th. PlayStation 5 gamers can get up to a 50% discount until November 30th.

Unfortunately, 007 First Light’s opening mission is probably one of the game’s weaker missions. That said, it acts as a tutorial, and new players need that. While this free starter pack isn’t showing 007 First Light at its best, it does give players an idea of what to expect.
