Nvidia’s RTX 5070 Ti becomes the newest GPU to see huge price hikes
The cheapest Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti in the UK now costs over £1,100
Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is the newest graphics card to see a significant price increase. In the UK, all major PC components retailers now charge over £1,100 for a baseline RTX 5070 Ti. Today, the GPU sells for at least 55% above Nvidia’s official MSRP of £729.
Today, Overclockers UK’s cheapest Nvidia RTX 5070 Ti graphics card costs ££1,129.99. This time last year, the same GPU was available for £698.99 at Overclockers UK. At the start of last month, the GPU cost £929.99.
RTX 5070 Ti pricing has followed Nvidia’s RTX 5080 and RTX 5090. Their pricing has also shot up over the past few months. While the RTX 5070 Ti has not seen RTX 5090-level price increases, today’s prices are still hard to stomach.
(Erm, the MSRP for this GPU is £729…)
Right now, the reason behind these price increases is unknown. Is limited supply forcing prices up? Are RTX 5070 Ti GPUs now being bought in bulk for Chinese AI servers? We don’t know. All we know is that prices are up, and that stings.
With AI datacenter demand driving PC component prices skyward, today’s products have become increasingly poor value. Baseline RTX 5070 Ti GPUs are now 55% more expensive than they were a year ago. There’s no sugarcoating that. This sucks.
