Microsoft make Windows 7 RC1 available to all

Microsost make Windows 7 RC1 available to allWin 7

With availability right through to July, and no limit on the number of keys to give out, there is no rush to download the Release Candidate. Most enthusiasts however, like myself, will want to get the download started right away, which may cause havoc with Microsoft’s download servers, as seen in past releases.

Unfortunately those looking to upgrade from the Windows 7 beta will be disappointed, as the only means of installation is via a fresh install. Remember to back up any important data before you install the Release Candidate, and make sure you have a copy of another OS ready for when the Release Candidate expires.

The Release Candidate is available in both 32 and 64 bit variants. To get your key click here and follow the instructions.
