be quiet unveil their Dark Rock 6 and 6 Pro series of CPU coolers
be quiet’s Dark Rock 6 series CPU coolers are launching this month
be quiet has officially announced their new Dark Rock 6 and Dark Rock 6 Pro CPU coolers, both of which are launching this month on May 19th. These coolers feature all-new designs, promising significantly improved CPU cooling performance compared to their predecessors. This is thanks to be quiet’s optimised heat sinks and heat pipe designs.
Thanks to their new designs, be quiet can offer users lower noise levels and an optional “semi-passive” mode with these new cooler designs. With semi-passive mode, these fans can be stopped completely until 40% PWM fan signals are sent to this cooler’s fans. A hardware switch allows users to switch between semi-passive mode and standard fan operating modes. Note that both the Dark Rock 6 and 6 Pro feature optional semi-passive fan modes.

The Dark Rock 6 Pro is designed for overclocked PCs and workstations. This cooler features a dual-tower heatsink design and features two custom-designed Silent Wings fans. This model has seven “optimised high-performance heat pipes”. Note that this cooler features one 135mm fan and one 120mm fan. The heatsink features a ceramic-particle black coating and a top cover with a brushed aluminium finish.

Like its bigger brother, the Dark Rock 6 features a ceramic particle black coating and a magnetically attached top cover with a brushed aluminium finish. Like the Dark Rock 6 Pro, this model also has a nickel-plated base that supports liquid metal thermal grease.
