Cooler Master showcases its MasterFrame series at Computex
Cooler Master highlights the perks of its Freeform 2.0 philosophy with its new MasterFrame 600 chassis
At Computex, Cooler Master is highlighting the perks of open design and high levels of customizability. With their Freeform 2.0 design philosophy, Cooler Master aims to redefine modular design to unlock new levels of customisation. This starts with the launch of Cooler Master’s MasterFrame 600, the product that commits Cooler Master to its new Platform-based design approach.
Thanks to Cooler Master’s Open Platform design and exposed case structure, the MasterFrame 600 allows users to add, remove, and exchange parts of their PC case at will. This enables users to achieve the desired look and enhance their case’s functionality with new or custom parts. For modders, this case offers unlimited potential. For regular PC builders, it enables a level of customisation that not other chassis can match.
Full Customisation
Given the MasterFrame’s “Open-Frame” design, users have the option to configure their case however they want. There is the tried and true “standard” case layout, though there are also inverted, reverse, and reverse + inverted layout options. The MasterFrame isn’t a standard PC case; it’s a platform. These options alone make the MasterFrame 600 four cases in one.
Below we can see Cooler Master’s Eucalyptus, Stone Veneer, and Walnut front plate options. Cooler Master’s website also includes Ebony and GreyOak panel options.
Included with this case is a GPU support bracket. This bracket prevents GPU sag, securing your build while maintaining a pristine aesthetic.
The crazy layouts enabled by Cooler Master’s MasterFrame design
With added options like vertical GPU mounts, the MasterFrame 600 becomes even more versatile. As more accessories and replacement parts are released, the number of potential layouts this case has will grow exponentially. If Cooler Master commits to this concept, the MasterFrame series could truly deliver near-infinite levels of personalisation/customisability.
Cooler Master’s MasterFrame 600 PC case is currently listed on the company’s EU webstore for â¬249 and in its UK webstore for £212. The case is available in Black and Silver.
The Future
The MasterFrame concept will not die with the MasterFrame 600. Cooler Master has already showcased its MasterFrame 500 Mesh and MasterFrame 400 Mesh. The latter of these two cases is an MATX enclosure, giving some much-needed love to the MATX form factor.
Perhaps we will see Mini ITX Frame series cases in time, though the perks of modularity lessen when space becomes tight. That said, customizability is always a plus.
Cooler Master had plenty to show us at their Computex booth. We already have articles on their new Elite series PC cases, Cosmos 2025, MasterFrame 360 Panoramic, and V-series CPU coolers. Expect to see more Computex coverage over the coming days.
