Corsair unveils its FRAME 4500X PC chassis at Computex
Corsair expands its FRAME series with its new FRAME 4500X
Alongside their innovative triple-chamber Air 5400 PC case, Corsair has unveiled a new entry for their FRAME series of PC cases. This new PC chassis is their FRAME 4500X, and it acts as an upgraded FRAME series replacement for their older 3500X case (See our review here).
Corsair launched its FRAME series of PC cases earlier this year with the FRAME 4000D (Review here). The FRAME series promises users a level of modularity that isn’t available on non-FRAME Corsair cases. With Corsair’s FRAME series, parts can be removed, replaced, or modded with ease, giving users a high level of customizability.
The FRAME 4500X features a large wrap-around tempered glass panel covering the PC case’s front and left side. This gives users a great view of their chosen hardware. The front and base of the case can be used as air intakes, while the top and rear of the case are used as an exhaust. Note that two additional fans can be mounted on this case’s PSU shroud to direct air at your graphics card.
Liquid cooling support
This case can support up to 360mm liquid cooling radiators at the top and side of this PC case. This makes the FRAME 4500X a solid option for liquid-cooled PCs. That’s why Corsair showcased their latest liquid cooling components in the above and below images.
The FRAME 4500X will be available later this year in Black and White. The case will support back-connect motherboards natively, support CPU coolers up to 185mm tall, and graphics cards up to 460mm long. Furthermore, all models of this case will ship with several RGB fans.
If you want a more modular/customisable version of the Corsair 3500X, the FRAME 4500X is a case that’s worth looking into. That said, it remains to be seen if Corsair’s FRAME concept will live up to its marketing. Not many FRAME series upgrades or replacement parts are available right now. Until that changes, Corsair’s FRAME series will not live up to its full potential.
