NZXT revamps their high-end CPU cooler lineup at Gamescom 2024
Alongside their new H5 Flow chassis, NZXT have revealed new V2 versions of their Kraken Elite CPU coolers at Gamescom 2024. These new CPU liquid coolers feature upgrades to almost all areas, including their pump, fans, and LCD screens.
For starters, NZXT has partnered with CoolIT to create custom “NZXT Turbine” pumps for their latest CPU coolers. This new pump helps the Kraken V2 series to deliver 10% greater cooling performance than its predecessor. Like many other CPU cooler manufacturers, NZXT appears to be moving away from Asetek.
“We exclusively developed the custom NZXT Turbine pump with CoolIT because we saw the need to push liquid cooling performance further,” says Johnny Hou, founder and CEO of NZXT. “Our combined years of expertise in creating high-performance AIOs enabled us to develop the new Kraken Elite, designed to meet the increasing cooling demands for PC gamers. We look forward to continuing our partnership with CoolIT to further enhance the Kraken’s performance and set new industry standards.”
New fans and screen tech for the Kraken Elite V2
NZXT has also upgraded their new Kraken Elite RGB series of CPU coolers with single-frame fans, minimising cable clutter while giving their coolers a cleaner look. Non-RGB models will continue to use standard fans.
NZXT has also upgraded their new CPU coolers with a larger 2.72-inch LCD. This screen is 30% larger than the screen on older Kraken Elite CPU coolers. The new screen operates at 60Hz with a resolution of 480p. This screen has also been enhanced with an RGB ring at its edge, improving its aesthetic further.

NZXT’s new Kraken Elite V2 will be launching later this year at the above prices. Note that only the RGB variant of this new CPU cooler will be available in white.
