The NF-A4x10 24V 40mm PWM fan from Noctua is perfect for 3D Printers and Industrial applications

Noctua has the perfect fan for 3D printer upgrades and other 24V use cases

Noctua fans have been popular amongst 3D printing enthusiasts for a long time. This is especially true for their 40mm NF-A4x10 fan. These fans are prized for the levels of cooling performance they offer and their low noise levels. That said, a common problem with these fans is the fact they are 12V fans, and most 3D printers are 24V. While voltage converters are an option, Noctua could cut out the middle-man if they simply created 24V fans.

Today, Noctua have released their new NF-A4x10 40mm 24V PWM fan. With an asking price of £13.90, these fans are not overly expensive, at least when compared to other 3D printer upgrades. These fans ship with a OmniJoin adaptor set, and a NA-AC9 adaptor cable. This should make installing these fans onto 3D printers a breeze.

Unlike cheap 24V fan options, Noctua’s new NF-A4x10 40mm 24V PWM fans are tested for electrical safety and radiated emission immunity. These fans carry CE, TUV, UKCA and UL certifications. The fans meet all applicable standards for these certifications like EN 62368-1, EN 55035, EN 55032,  and UL-507. These are industrial fans, with a MTTF (Mean Time To Failure) rating of 150,000 hours and a 6-year warranty.

The NF-A4x10 24 V PWM is a PWM-enabled 24 V variant of Noctua’s award-winning, premium-quality NF-A4x10 40 mm fan. As such, it is ideal for 24 V-based 3D printers as well as various other 24 V applications. Featuring an AAO (Advanced Acoustic Optimisation) standard frame and sophisticated aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels, the NF-A4x10 is renowned for its superior performance and outstanding quietness of operation. Smooth Commutation Drive technology and Noctua’s reference class SSO2 bearing guarantee superb running smoothness and excellent long-term stability.

Many 3D printers such as the popular Creality Ender 3 or Anycubic Mega use 24 V fans. With the included NA-AC9 adaptor cable for JST XHP-2 2.5 mm headers as well as the OmniJoin adaptor set that makes fitting custom connectors a breeze, the NF-A4x10 24 V PWM is an ideal choice for cooling the hot end of 24 V-based 3D printers or for additional part cooling.

You can purchase Noctua’s new NF-A4x10 40mm 24V PWM fan starting today from Amazon. In the UK, these fans cost £13.90 each.
