Thermal Grizzly boosts Thermal Conductivity with its PhaseSheet PTM Pro thermal sheets
Thermal Grizzly promises improved cooling performance and greater ease of use with its PhaseSheet PTM Pro thermal sheets
Thermal Grizzly has just launched its new PhaseSheet PTM Pro thermal sheets, which promise higher thermal conductivity and easier use than its existing PhaseSheet PTM pads. With its optimised composition, Thermal Grizzly promises improved thermal performance and usability. Additionally, its new carrier film is now easier to remove, making these pads easier to apply.
This new PCM (Phase-Change Material) thermal pad is solid at room temperature and liquefies above 45 degrees Celsius. These pads provide minimal thickness and moves to cover a CPU optimally as it thermally cycles. After about ten thermal cycles where a CPU reaches over 60 degrees, the pad will settle into its optimal location. With its phase-change nature, PhaseSheet PTM Pro pads resist the “pump-out” effect that can cause the performance of traditional thermal pastes to deteriorate over time.
Unlike Thermal Grizzly’s KryoSheet graphene thermal pads, PhaseSheet PTM Pro thermal sheets are non-conductive, allowing for use in a wider variety of applications. Their increased durability also makes them practically maintenance-free, unlike traditional thermal pastes.
Thermal Grizzly’s new Pro series thermal sheets are now available for $23.28/€19.90 on the Thermal Grizzly website. These sheets are 40mm x 40mm, making them ideal for modern desktop CPUs.
