Thermaltake launches new Turquoise and Racing Green version of their TOUGHFAN 12 fans
Thermaltake’s TOUCHFAN 12 fans are designed to deliver high-end cooling, offering high static pressure for liquid cooling setups and ample airflow for air intake/exhaust applications. These fans are also designed to run at up to 2,000 RPM while maintaining low noise levels of 22.3 dBA, making these fans ideal for cooling your PC.Â
TOUGHFAN 12 series fans are created using a liquid crystal polymer with a low thermal expansion coefficient and a lot of tensile strength. These properties allow Thermaltake to minimise the gap between their TOUGHFAN 12 fan blades and their housing. This allows Thermaltake to maximise the performance of their TOUGHFAN 12 fans.Â
With their Tourquise TOUGHFAN 12 model, Thermaltake had lightened their fan blades to give them a light grey appearance. In contrast, their Racing Green fans feature a charcoal black blade colour scheme.Â
These new fan options will allow PC builders and modders to create custom PCs with high-end fans that match their colour preferences. These fans will be available at retailers sometime this month and should cost the same amount as Thermaltake’s existing TOUGHFAN 12 fans.Â

Featuring the high static pressure fan with PWM-control, the TOUGHFAN 12 Turquoise/Racing Green High Static Pressure Radiator Fan can perform at a maximum operating speed of up to 2000 RPM but maintains a low audio noise level of only 22.3 dB-A. The fan blade is made from liquid crystal polymer (LCP) compounds that are extremely tensile in strength; their low thermal expansion coefficient can reduce the fan’s vibration under full-speed loading. Notably, the fan blades of Turquoise are in the color of light gray with a pearl reflection, while the Racing Greens are in charcoal black with a metallic reflection; the perfect match of color pushes the beauty of TOUGHFAN 12 to another level.
To enhance the stability and durability as well as lowering noise level while the fan is operating, the centerpiece of the TOUGHFAN 12’s motor hub is made of full steel, and has a copper housing that reinforces the shaft. The anti-vibration rubber pads attached to the corners also help dampen the vibration, giving protection for both the fan and the case.
