All-white ASUS ROG Strix B850-I Gaming WIFI motherboard leaks

ASUS is expanding its AM5 motherboard lineup with new colour options

It looks like ASUS is now making a white variant of its ROG Strix B850-I Gaming motherboard, expanding the company’s AMD/AM5 motherboard options. This new motherboard design appears to feature the same feature set as its existing black counterpart. That means it should support WIFI 7, PCIe 5.0, and dual-channel DDR5 memory.

In total, this motherboard supports two PCIe 5.0 compatible M.2 slots and can support up to 128GB of DDR5 memory. Those are high-end specifications for such a compact motherboard. Additionally, it supports 2.5G Ethernet, a 20 Gbps USB port, and more.

This new motherboard targets compact PC builds and gamers who prefer white PC hardware. It also supports features like ASUS’ Dynamic OC Switcher technology and ASUS’ “AI Cache Boost” feature.

The existence of this new White Edition motherboard from ASUS highlights the popularity of AMD’s AM5 motherboard platform. Today, AM5 is popular enough that even niche motherboard form factors have white-edition motherboards. That’s a tremendous achievement for AMD. We expect ASUS to officially reveal this new motherboard soon. This motherboard will likely be released in time for AMD’s upcoming Ryzen 7 9850X3D Gaming CPU.
