AMD’s likely to bundle Starfield with new Ryzen 7000 series CPUs soon
It looks like AMD plans to bundle copies of Starfield with their Ryzen 7000 series processors
Last week, AMD announced that they are Bethesda’s official PC partner for Starfield, confirming that they have been working with the company to implement FidelityFX Super Resolution 2 into the game, and to improve the game’s multi-threaded CPU code to boost the game’s performance on modern CPUs.Â
Now, it looks like AMD are planning to start bundling copies of Starfield with their Ryzen 7000 series processors, making AMD’s AM5 Ryzen CPU lineup the go-to upgrade path for PC gamers who are upgrading their systems for Starfield.Â
Based on Newegg’s promotion page, Starfield will be available for free with all currently available Ryzen 7000 series processors soon. This includes AMD’s Ryzen 7000 X3D processors, and their lower-end counterparts. Even AMD’s relatively cheap Ryzen 5 7600 will be part of this promotion.Â
AMD has not officially revealed their Ryzen 7000 Starfield game bundle, though we expect the company to do so within the next few weeks. Currently, it is unknown of Starfield will support resolution upscaling technologies aside from AMD’s FidelityFX Super Resolution tech, like Nvidia’s DLSS, or Intel’s XeSS.Â
This year, AMD has already bundles high profile PC releases like Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and The Last of Us Part 1 with their products, and it makes sense for AMD to continue this trend with Starfield. Let’s just hope that Starfield’s PC version runs better than either of those games did at launch on PC.
