ASUS accidentally lists AMD Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs with their X870 motherboards

Will AMD reveal their next-gen X3D CPUs at Gamescom?

ASUS’ new website for their X870/X870E motherboards has something hidden in its code, references to new Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs. These processors haven’t been revealed yet by AMD, but that hasn’t stopped the site from referencing them.

With AMD hosting their “Gamescom 2024 Gaming Festival” this Friday, this listing has sparked hopes that AMD may be revealing their Zen 5 X3D CPUs soon. That said, mere references on a microsite if far from a confirmation of an immanent reveal.

The microsite’s code contains likes like “ASUS X870E & X870 motherboards are designed to get the most out of AMD Ryzen 9000 series X3D processors”. This suggests that AMD’s 800-series motherboard reveals should be linked with their upcoming Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs. That said, we can only speculate about AMD’s next-generation X3D CPUs at this point.

If AMD plans to reveal their next-generation X3D CPUs at Gamescom, the company’s upcoming “Gaming Festival” will be a much more exciting event than anticipated. After all, an improved version of AMD’s X3D technology could transform the PC gaming market. Beyond that, it could draw attention away from Intel’s next-generation Arrow Lake CPU launch.
