Gigabyte “Stealth” series B850 and X870 “Back-Connect” motherboards spotted
Gigabyte’s fully embracing “Back-Connect” motherboards with new “Stealth” series AM5 models
New Gigabyte “Stealth” series motherboards have been spotted as part of a newly uncovered EEC listing (via harukaze5719 and Videocardz). These new motherboards are AMD B850 and X870 series motherboards, and all of them are Gigabyte “ICE” series models.
Last year, Gigabyte released their first “Stealth” series motherboards. These motherboards feature backwards-facing motherboard power and I/O connectors. This feature is commonly know as “back-connect” or “Backside-connect.” These motherboard models enable ultra-clean PC builds where most power connectors are hidden behind a PC’s motherboard tray. Above, you can see an image of Gigabyte’s B650E AORUS Stealth Ice motherboard.

Sadly, EEC listings do not give us any information on the specifications and release dates of Gigabyte’s upcoming motherboards. These listings only confirm their existence. We expect these new “Stealth ICE” series AM5 motherboards to become available this year.
Gigabyte appears to be investing heavily in its AM5 motherboard lineup, highlighting AMD’s recent successes in the DIY CPU market. AMD’s Ryzen 7 9800X3D has been selling like hotcakes since its launch.
