Global launch! – AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F gives PC builders a new, cost-effective AM5 option

AMD's Ryzen 5 7500F is set to launch globally, offering PC builders a cost-effective AM5 option

Let’s hope that we see AMD’s new Ryzen 5 7500F on store shelves soon

AMD’s Ryzen 7500F has been launched, and according to AMD’s website, the processor will be available globally, which means that PC builders should expect AMD’s new budget-oriented AM5 processor hit store shelves soon.

With six cores and twelve threads, and base/boost clock speeds of 3.7 GHz and 5.0 GHz, AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F is effectively a Ryzen 5 7600 with a 100 MHz clock speed drop. That said, the Ryzen 5 7500F does have another downgrade, as it lacks integrated graphics. Aside from these two changes, the Ryzen 5 7500F and Ryzen 5 7600 appear to be identical, shipping with the same 65W default TDP, overclocking support, and the same 32MB of L3 cache.

Sadly, we do not know the UK, or European pricing of AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F, but we do know that the CPU will launch for $179 in the US. This makes AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F notably cheaper than AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600, and significantly cheaper than AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600X.

When AMD’s Ryzen 5 7500F becomes available globally, it will become the go-to option for budget gamers on AMD’s AM5 platform, as its attractive pricing and unlocked status should allow overclockers to achieve impressive performance levels with this new processor.
