Intel Bartlett Lake-S CPU leaks with 12 P-Cores and 6 GHz clock speeds
Bartlett Lake-S goes all-in on P-cores on LGA-1700
Fresh specifications for Intel’s long-rumoured all-P-Core Bartlett Lake-S flagship have leaked, unveiling a CPU with up to 12 CPU cores and clock speeds as high as 6 GHz.
Bartlett Lake-S is reportedly Intel’s last LGA-1700 processor. It’s intended for edge IT and networking solutions, utilising Raptor Lake CPU cores without E-cores. Since Intel’s Raptor Lake CPUs have a maximum of eight P-cores, the 12-core model of Bartlett Lake is of great interest to some users. What are the benefits of a non-Hybrid design? Could this CPU deliver better gaming performance than Raptor Lake and Arrow Lake?
Based on a leak from Jaykihn, Intel still plans to release Bartlett Lake-S. Sadly, this CPU will not be available “Unlocked”, which means that overclocking is unavailable. However, the CPU will feature a single-threaded boost clock of 6 GHz and an all-core boost clock speed of 5.5 GHz. Note that Intel’s i9-14900K features a maximum boost clock speed of 6.2 GHz.

While its lack of E-cores will limit its multi-threaded performance, its high P-core count makes Intel’s Bartlett Lake-S flagship appealing to gamers. After all, Intel’s Raptor Lake CPUs are already known to outperform their Arrow Lake successors in games. How fast would a 12-core all-P-Core design fare in gaming workloads?
