Intel quietly launches and E-core-free i9-14901KE CPU
Intel has released their P-Core only i9-14901KE processor, delivering clock speeds of up to 5.8 GHz
Intel has quietly released a new style of Raptor Lake processors, P-core only models that omit Intel’s efficiency-focused E-cores. These new CPUs are Intel’s 14th generation 14X01E series, which feature between six and eight P-cores. The flagship of this new 1E series of CPUs is Intel’s new i9-14901KE CPU, which is listed with a boost clock speed of 5.8 GHz.
These CPUs sound a lot like Intel’s planned “Barlett” series CPUs. These CPUs are reportedly all-P-core CPU models that are targeted at the NEX (Networking and Edge) computing market. “Barlett” reportedly features up to twelve P-cores, and is due to launch on Intel’s LGA1700 motherboard socket.
These new 14th generation 1E CPUs from Intel appear to be a taste of what’s to come with Barlett-S. Below is a list of Intel’s entire 14th gen 1E lineup.
- Intel Core i9 14901KE 8-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i9 14901E 8-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i9 1401TE 8-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i7 14701E 8-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i7 14701TE 8-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i5 14501E 6-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i5 14501TE 6-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i5 14401E 6-Core LGA1700 CPU
- Intel Core i5 14401TE 6-Core LGA1700 CPU
Currently, it is unknown when these new P-core only 14th generation CPUs will be available to consumers at retailers. It is also unknown how much these new CPUs will cost.
