With Z390, MSI plans to bring to market a new sub-brand, a brand which straddles the line between their Uber-tier GODLIKE series and their value-oriented Gaming and Tomahawk series designs. Meet the MSI MEG Z390 ACE, images for which come courtesy of Videocardz.
While the MEG Z390 ACE is not as overkill as its GODLIKE counterpart (detailed here), the motherboard from the getgo offers wider levels of compatibility with modern case designs, utilising the commonly used ATX form factor instead of the GODLIKE’s beastly EATX scale. On top of that, the ACE features fewer RGB illuminated elements, lacks the GODLIKE OLED screen and doesn’t feature any U.2 connectivity options.Â
Even with its noticeable downgrades, the MEG Z390 ACE offers users a huge 13-phase VRM and three M.2 slots, while also delivering support for dual USB 3.1 Gen 2 internal I/O connections, integrated WiFi and support for up to six SATA 3.0 devices. This will be more than enough for most high-end PC users.Â

Several motherboard manufacturers are already hinting at a “Next Generation” motherboard release, with Gigabyte hinting at an October 8th reveal date (link).Â
