NZXT updates its AM5 motherboard lineup with its new N7 B850 motherboard

NZXT has just launched its new N7 B850 motherboard, the newest entry for the company’s AM5 motherboard lineup. This new motherboard acts as a lower-end counterpart to NZXT’s N9 X870E motherboard, which we looked at earlier this year. With this new AM5 design comes Ryzen 9000 series CPU support, multiple PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots, and WIFI 6E.

This new motherboard supports AMD’s Ryzen 7000, 8000, and 9000 series CPUs. This list includes AMD’s Ryzen 9000 X3D gaming processors, which have proven hugely popular.

NZXT’s N7 B850 motherboard is available starting today in Black and White. In the UK, this motherboard will cost £279.99. In the US and Europe, this motherboard will cost $299 and €319.99, respectively. Below are this motherboard’s primary features.

N7 B850 Key Features:

  • AMD AM5 Socket: Supports Ryzen 9000, 8000, and 7000 series desktop processors.
  • Optimized Power Delivery: 16+2+1 power phase design with 80A DrMOS and an 8-layer, 2oz copper PCB for clean, stable performance.
  • High-Speed Memory: Four dual-channel DDR5 DIMM slots supporting speeds of 8000+ MT/s (OC). Up to 256GB.
  • PCIe 5.0 Expansion: One PCIe 5.0 x16 slot for next-gen GPUs, plus two PCIe 4.0 x16 slots for high-speed add-in cards.
  • Ultra-Fast Storage: Three M.2 slots, including one PCIe 5.0 with a dedicated heatsink and quick-release latches for easier upgrades.
  • Advanced Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, and Realtek 2.5Gb Ethernet provide low-latency, high-bandwidth options for gaming and content creation.
  • Clean, Modern Aesthetic: Full PCB cover and subtle NZXT accents for a minimalist look that fits any setup.
  • Integrated NZXT RGB & Fan Support: Two NZXT 8-pin combo headers (RGB + PWM), one dedicated RGB LED header, and full support via NZXT CAM. This enables system-wide synchronized RGB lighting with NZXT fans.
