55nm NVIDIA GPUs In H2 2007

| NVIDIA is very likely to be the first customer to introduce production on TSMC 55nm half node geometry. Given its long established ties with TSMC, NVIDIA started pilot runs on 55nm in early 2007 and samples should be available for customers in the second half of 2007. NVIDIA should introduce 55nm in volume production in the first quarter of 2008. AMD has also started pilot runs on 55nm. Chips fabricated on 55nm are to hit the market in early 2008. |
