AMD Radeon RX 9070 GRE GPUs from PowerColor leak – 12GB Confirmed
Two Radeon RX 9070 GRE GPUs from PowerColor have leaked
Videocardz has managed to get their hands on images of two Radeon RX 9070 GRE graphics cards. These GPUs are PowerColor’s RX 9070 GRE Red Devil and RX 9070 GRE Reaper, both of which have the same cooler as their Radeon RX 9070 XT counterparts. This suggests that AMD’s new GRE GPU features Navi 48 silicon, the same chip as their RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT.
Note that these graphics cards are listed as 12GB GPU models. This seemingly confirms the leaked specification of AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 GRE. Furthermore, these images suggest that these graphics cards may have a China-only launch, as both images feature boxes with Chinese lettering.
Videocardz has noted that all GRE models should feature two 8-pin PCIe power connectors. No models should be released that use three 8-pin power connectors. However, Sapphire’s RX 9070 GRE lineup may have a Nitro+ variant. If it is like other RX 9070 series Notro+ models, it would launch with a 12V-2×6 power connector,
Currently, it is unknown when AMD plans to release this new graphics card. If it is like the Radeon RX 7900 GRE, it will be China-only at launch. However, the GPU will likely have a Western launch later. Currently, it is unknown if PowerColor has an RX 9070 GRE Hellhound GPU model in the works.
