AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 16GB drops to a new pricing low in the UK
PowerColor’s Radeon RX 9070 16GB drops to £488.99 in the UK
If you read our original review of AMD’s Radeon RX 9070, you will know that we weren’t a fan of its original pricing. Simply put, its UK MSRP was too close to its higher-end counterpart, the RX 9070 XT. Now, PowerColor’s AMD RX 9070 Reaper is available for £488.99, which is well below the GPU’s UK MSRP (£569.99). That’s a solid price for a solid 16GB graphics card.
At £488.99, this RX 9070 is similar in price to many lower-end Nvidia RTX 5070 models. In general, the RX 9070 delivers higher levels of gaming performance and features more VRAM (16GB VS 12GB). This makes the AMD RX 9070 a solid option for gamers, especially for games that support FSR 4. Now that AMD’s FSR 4 tech is available in more games (thanks to AMD Software 25.9.1), AMD’s high-fidelity upscaler is now usable in over 90 different games.

Honestly, £488.99 is an excellent price for this graphics card, especially when RX 9070 XT GPUs tend to cost over £600. Although it may not be the fastest AMD GPU available, the RX 9070 is an excellent option, particularly if you’re looking for a 16GB GPU at this price point.
