AMD’s RX 9070 XT may have more day 1 retail stock than Nvidia’s entire RTX 50 series
If AMD’s Radeon RX 9070 XT sells out, AMD will have sold more RDNA 4 GPUs than Nvidia has sold RTX 50 series GPUs – report claims
Hardware Unboxed has claimed that AMD has enough day 1 Radeon RX 9070 XT stock to outsell Nvidia’s entire RTX 50 series. If AMD sells out all of their early RX 9070 XT stock, they will have successfully outsold Nvidia’s entire RTX 50 series lineup.
Nvidia’s RTX 50 series graphics cards have all launched with insufficient stock to meet demand. This has led to inflated prices, and frustrated customers. If AMD launches their Radeon RX 9070 series with ample stock, it will sell well. After all, PC gamers cannot buy RTX 50 series GPUs right now. Today, all you can get is pre-orders.
Assuming that Hardware Unboxed is correct, AMD are preparing to show how a GPU launch should be handled. Lots of day-1 stock. No FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), and no inflated prices due to inadequate supply.
Fun fact: If you see 9070 XT's sold out shortly after release, it will mean retailers will have sold more 9070 XT's than all GeForce 50 series GPUs combined.

Hardware Unboxed claims to have spoken to retailers and found that AMD has more GPUs than Nvidia’s RTX 5090, RTX 5080, RTX 5070 Ti, and RTX 5070 launches combined. Add on AMD’s RX 9070 non-XT, and AMD’s day-1 stock of RDNA 4 GPUs will be even larger.
No. If you would like to connect the dots, I spoke directly with retailers, because they know how many Radeon GPUs they have to sell and they know how many GeForce GPUs they've had and sold.

If these claims are correct, this will be a GPU launch done right. AMD’s RX 9070 series launch should be a huge success for AMD.
