AOC release their 240Hz ARGON AG251FZ FreeSync display

 
AOC has today released their new 240Hz ARGON AG251FZ FreeSync display, offering some staggeringly fast refresh rates and minimal display latency. 
 
The ARGON AG251FZ will be a 24.5-inch display which uses a TN panel with a resolution of 1080p, this display is designed for competitive gaming, offering a refresh rate which is the highest currently available on the market and as such comes with a rather large price tag of £449 in the UK. 

  

This display will support DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 2.0, DVI and VGA, though this display’s maximum refresh rate will only be available using DisplayPort 1.2. The Argon will also come with a VESA compatible adjustable stand, which can be used to adjust the display’s height for optimal viewing.

With VESA Adaptive-Sync compatibility and a refresh rate of 240Hz this display will offer ultra-competitive gamers a slight edge when playing fast paced games like CSGO and other e-sports games like DOTA and league of Legends, where reaction time is key and ever MS of delay can result in failure. 

While for most gamers this display will be overly expensive, with an almost excessive maximum refresh rate it must be remembered that there are those that cry out for the fastest displays. The AG251FZ is for only the most hardcore of competitive gamers, and even then only the ones who consider maximum refresh rate as a priority over resolution and other display features.
