AOC releases I1601FWUX portable USB-C monitor
Many heavy desktop users love to use multiple displays, extending their working area to enhance their workflow and productivity. This can make the transition to a notebook difficult, as lugging around a multi-monitor setup isn’t exactly what most PC users would consider mobile, creating the need for thin and lite displays that are easy to set up, store and transport.
AOC’s new 15.6-inch I1601FWUX USB-C monitor is designed to fill this niche, using a 1080p IPS monitor and a simple cover/stand hybrid solution to offer users a secondary display on the go. USB Type-C provides power and data transfers simultaneously, allowing the monitor to deliver full 1080p 60FPS playback, with a typical power consumption of 8W.
This portable display weighs 0.83 kg and ships with out of the box support for Windows 10/8.1, offering a matching display size for standard 15.6-inch laptops to provide an easy-to-use portable multi-screen workstation.
The screen is 8.5mm thick, making it easy to fit in most laptop bags with the display itself offering 160/160 degree viewing angles and 220 cd/m² brightness levels, which is suitable for most working environments. Below are the full specifications for AOC’s I1601FWUX portable USB type-c monitor.
AOC’s I1601FWUX portable monitor will become available within Europe this month with a UK MSRP price of £199.
